Asana cut approximately 100 employees in early February 2025 as part of a restructuring to reduce operating costs and better align staffing with the company's strategic priorities. The San Francisco-based work management software company communicated the decision via internal memo. California WARN filings show 77 employees were notified in the San Francisco office on February 4, with additional cuts at global locations accounting for the full total. The company had 1,666 employees as of late January 2025. No specific affected teams were identified, and severance terms were not disclosed. The cuts came several weeks before CEO Dustin Moskovitz announced in March 2025 that he would retire and begin a search for a successor.
