Layoff history
Restaurant365, a back-office software provider for restaurant chains, cut roughly 100 jobs in August 2025, about 9% of its roughly 1,100-person workforce. CEO Tony Smith told staff in an email that the company had set aggressive growth targets for the year, staffed up to meet them, then fell short. The reductions were framed as necessary to control cash flow and make progress toward profitability. Smith wrote that "these adjustments are required to ensure the future health of the company."
