Welltech, a Limassol, Cyprus-based developer of fitness apps including Muscle Booster, Yoga-Go, and WalkFit, laid off about 225 employees in early April 2026, roughly 30% of its 750-person workforce. According to insider reports, leadership attributed the cuts to reorganization and a change in focus after executive turnover two months earlier, when the CEO and other C-level officers were replaced. All departments and countries were affected, with the heaviest cuts in product and development, spanning five offices in Cyprus, Ukraine, Poland, Spain, and the UK. Departing employees were reportedly offered two to three months' salary, with some allowed to keep their laptops if they worked an additional month. The round followed a roughly 10% reduction the prior year. The company has not publicly confirmed the details.
