WiseTech Global said on February 24, 2026 that it would cut about 2,000 jobs, roughly 30% of its workforce, as the Australian logistics software maker pushes artificial intelligence deeper into its products and operations. On an earnings call, CEO Zubin Appoo said "the era of manually writing code as the core act of engineering is over." The reductions fall most heavily on software developers and customer-service staff across operations in roughly 40 countries. More than 500 roles had already been eliminated earlier in the financial year, and the phased restructuring is expected to unfold over 18 to 24 months. Its E2open division could be hit especially hard. The cuts came after the company's shares had fallen sharply from their 2024 peak, though the stock jumped about 11% on the day of the announcement.
