Parent company Avis Budget Group said it was consolidating Zipcar's corporate functions into its global headquarters in New Jersey to improve operational efficiency. Regional field and fleet operations in Boston, along with day-to-day member service, will continue. "We are committed to managing this transition responsibly and supporting our employees throughout the process," Avis Budget Group said.
